Lip modelling & lip augmentation
Beautiful and full lips are a common wish. Hyaluron treatment can emphasise the natural shape and contour of the lips. A loss of volume due to ageing processes can be filled and lip wrinkles can be reduced. A narrow or invisible upper lip can also be balanced and a harmonious relationship between the upper and lower lip can be created. In lip treatments with hyaluronic fillers, a natural result is particularly important to me. The lips should not look "sprayed on" after a filler treatment in my practice in Munich, but fresh and naturally beautified.
Lip fillers are in vogue
Lip filler treatment has been a real trend for some time now. Many of us now associate lip fillers with a certain "Instagram look". Countless clones with an intentionally artificial look are romping around there. While in the early 00s, the "inflatable boat" or "duckbill" lip was seen as a deterrent example of a "lip injection", the equally extreme "Russian Lips" are currently showing up frequently. Here, a rather firm filler is used to change the natural lip shape in a striking way.
In contrast, natural lip modelling with hyaluronic acid can help to harmonise the proportions of the lips. And without everyone immediately seeing that "something has been done to the lip". There are also patients who are basically satisfied with the shape of their lips. But the lips have lost some of their volume compared to before, they appear narrower and drier. Sometimes small vertical wrinkles form on the contour of the upper lip, which are perceived as annoying. These patients also want lip modelling with a very natural result. And hyaluronic acid, with its high water-binding capacity, is ideally suited to compensate for volume loss and wrinkles in the lips.
Lip modelling with natural result
First of all, it is important to have an individual consultation, where you can express all your wishes and ask any questions you may have. I will analyse the shape of your lips and advise you about the treatment procedure in my practice in Munich as well as the possible results of lip modelling or lip augmentation. Sometimes it makes sense to perform lip modelling in several steps and to use a rather small amount of hyaluronic acid in each treatment. With this minimally invasive technique, small amounts of hyaluronic acid filler are injected directly into the red of the lips.
On the one hand, this is very comfortable and safe. On the other hand, it does not violate the border of the natural lip contour and prevents unwanted migration of the hyaluronic filler. In this way, the lip tissue is given the opportunity to integrate the hyaluronic acid well. This leads to very natural treatment results. The results also often last longer after repeated treatment.
If there is a clear wish for lip modelling treatment, treatment can also be carried out directly after the consultation after clarification has taken place. Otherwise, we will make a separate appointment for the filler treatment in my practice in Munich after the consultation.
Procedure of the lip treatment
First, I take a few photos for the treatment documentation. Then an anaesthetic cream is applied to the lips. We leave this on for 15 minutes in a relaxed atmosphere. After a thorough disinfection of the treatment area, the upper and lower lips are treated with hyaluronic acid. This is followed by a short massage of the lips to distribute the lip filler optimally.
FAQ - Questions about lip modelling by Dr Eva Jablonka in Munich
Does the lip treatment with hyaluronic acid hurt?
With the anaesthetic cream and a minimally invasive technique, the small punctures are hardly noticeable. In addition, the hyaluron filler for lip modelling contains a little lidocaine so that the lips are further anaesthetised during the treatment.
What should be considered before a lip treatment with hyaluronic acid?
In the week before a lip treatment with hyaluronic acid in my practice in Munich, the following medicines and food supplements should not be taken, as they can prolong the bleeding time: Aspirin (ASS), Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, Gingko, Omega 3, Goji berries, Bromelain. Medically prescribed medicines must not be discontinued!
What should be observed after a lipfiller treatment?
After the lip filler treatment, it is best to cool the lips slightly. Sports, hot baths, sauna and large amounts of alcohol should be avoided for 24 hours. Kissing and drinking from straws should also be avoided for 1-2 days. The lips should not be massaged for the first two days after the treatment. Afterwards, a gentle massage can be given to prevent the formation of nodules.
When will I be socially acceptable again?
On the day of treatment and the morning after the lip filler treatment with hyaluronic acid, the lips may still be slightly swollen. Usually the swelling is rather inconspicuous. Small bruises can be easily concealed with a little gloss or lipstick.
How long do the results of a lipfiller treatment last?
The shelf life of a lip treatment is about 6 to 12 months. Usually the durability of the first filler treatment is rather in the shorter range. After repeated treatment with hyaluronic acid, the results of lip modelling usually last longer.
Are there any risks of lip treatment with hyaluronic acid?
As a bioidentical material, hyaluronic acid is very well tolerated and optimally suited as a filler. Complications are very rare. The most common are temporary swelling and bruising, which disappear within a few days. You can also contact me after the treatment in my practice in Munich if you have any questions!
Can a lip filler treatment be combined with other treatments in the lip area?
Lip modelling with hyaluron filler can, for example, be combined with a Gummy Smile treatment or a Lip Flip if there is also appropriate muscle activity. Treatment of the nasolabial or corner of the mouth wrinkles can also be performed in the same session as a lip filler treatment. In the case of upper lip wrinkles (smoker's lines), a treatment with skin boosters can additionally beautify the area. I will be happy to advise you on the methods offered in my practice in Munich.
