Treatment of nasolabial and mouth wrinkles

Every human face, even that of a baby, has nasolabial folds, while the folds at the corners of the mouth (also known as marionette lines or Merkel lines) usually only appear from middle age onwards. Both are so-called passive wrinkles, the expression of which depends on the individual facial skull structure and the existing soft tissue. When the cheek area begins to sag due to natural ageing processes in the area of the fat bodies and bone, nasolabial and mouth angle wrinkles can be intensified as a result. What both wrinkles have in common is that they can lead to a sad or nasty appearance, even though you don't feel that way at all.

Direct and indirect injection with hyaluron filler

Nasolabial folds and wrinkles at the corners of the mouth can be injected directly with hyaluronic acid filler. However, it often makes sense to additionally treat the cheek area (and possibly also the chin or lower jaw contour). This indirectly reduces the wrinkles, which leads to very harmonious and natural results with an additional improvement of the facial contours. Sometimes the indirect treatment alone is even sufficient. During a consultation appointment in my practice in Munich, an individual consultation and treatment planning takes place.
